It's Been A While

It's totally been a while!  I kind of forgot about this blog, then didn't renew my subscription to my old domain.  I tried to return a few times after that, but couldn't figure out how to get my old post back.  If I tried a little harder, I would have figured out all I had to do was redirect the website. Duh.  Well, I'm back at it and I may or may not have added 60 pounds since I last blogged. I can't remember exactly where I was at before Well, now I'm ready to live my best live in 2020.  Or it was going that way until, well we all know what is happening right now.  I stopped running back in 2014.  I went from a job where I sit on my butt all day, to one where I walk all day.  I wore ballet flats and in about 2 months, I managed to get plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, cramping arches, bad knees, hurting hip, and fibromyalgia. UGH!   So here I am trying to figure out the best way to workout.  I decided to blog again because once I figured out how to get back into this old thing, I actually liked reading my own stuff even if no one else does 😝.

So here it is:

Starting Weight: 206
Current Weight: 197.1
Mini Goal Weight: 180
Mini Goal Weight: 165
Goal Weight: 145

Yesterday, I set the treadmill at 35 minutes and alternated between walking and running every .25 miles.  The display went off before I had a chance to record the distance, but I think I was at 1.81 miles.  Not far for 35 minutes, but I'll get better if I keep at it.  I don't want to stress my joints out so I'm definitely not running as much.

I also want to add that my doctor recommended I try a vegan diet for 2 weeks to see if it helps with my mood, energy, aches and pains and I want to say up front that it definitely helped.  It took a month before I started seeing the light. I have more energy, I am much happier, and my muscle pain seems to be a lot better.  My doctor recommended I watch What the Health and it was really interesting and eye opening.  The link goes to the YouTube video, but you can also watch it on either Amazon Prime or Netflix.  I can't remember which one.

Beach Body & Shakeology

I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership yesterday because of the COVID.  My gym looks like they are taking the proper precautions, but I just don't want to risk it.  I signed up for Beachbody on demand for a year and planning on working out at home and outdoors for the year.  I've been vacationing in Maryland and haven't done much of anything except eat since I've been here.  I haven't been following weight watchers or a plant-based diet and my body is feeling it.  I ordered the Shakeology because there was a huge discount if you ordered at the same time as purchasing a subscription. I can't wait to try it based on the ingredients and how it's supposed to help your body.  I've read reviews, but not sure I can trust them because they all seem to be coming from Beachbody coaches so consider me as a real person who is giving an honest review and trying Shakeology for the first time.  I'm starting 21-Day Fix on Monday and will use Shak...

WOD - LLEDE FITNESS

So I found this iPad app called LLEDE FITNESS by lledescheduling llc and it's nothing fancy at all, but there is a daily workout that you can do. You can pick from beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Straight. To the point. No frills. I love it. Yesterday I did this workout: 3 Rounds Bench squats 25 30 walking lunges (weighted) jump squats 10 split squats 1 minute plank I can't walk.
